Aleksandr Grin (Grinevskii, 1880-1932), a sailor, former EsEr, prisoner, and wanderer, lived in poverty most of his life and could be satisfied with a very little. He started to write at school and continued writing for his whole life. He was an outlaw before and after the revolution for different reasons. Grin was completely officially rehabilitated by the authorities only in 1997. Literary fame came to him only after his death.
