Zinaida Gippius (1869-1945), a writer and poet of the literary movement called symbolism. Together with her husband, the famous writer and religious thinker Dmitrii Merezhkovskii, she left St. Petersburg in the third year after the revolution. But her emigration became a fact on its very first day, October 25th, 1917. This is the most complete collection of her prose written in emigration: stories, essays, and articles.
