This is the memoir of Valentina Dmitrievna Prishvina (maiden name Liorko, 1899-1979), the wife and devoted friend of the great Russian writer Mikhail Prishvin (1873-1954). Thanks to her, many note books and manuscripts from M. Prishvin`s archive were preserved, edited and found their way to readers after his death. This autobiographical novel, finished in 1962, is a history of a women who had her own interesting and rich life, who despite all the hardships of two wars, revolutions, and loss of family continued her spiritual search, her move towards the Invisible City where she would meet the people she loved. This memoir is about her family, the interesting people she met, her first love, and her fifteen years with M. Prishvin.
