Viktor Toporov (1946-2013) collected his recent critical essays in this book. The book starts a series named by its founder Authority of Taste. By Gulliver Toporov means Joseph Brodsky, and by Lilliputians many of his fellows who publish numerous memoirs about the Nobel winner, and steal and adopt his poetics in their poetry. Most of these articles are rather satirical then critical and more feuilletons than essays, but they reflect the modern realities of Russian literature.
