Language: RussianIurii Terapiano (1892-1980) came to the history of Russian literature abroad primarily as a literary critic but he was also the author of current writing, memoirs, and poetry. This book of his memoirs was first published in New York in 1953 in Russian. In this new edition it is supplemented with his critical essays and reviews of 1926-1971. Terapiano created a gallery of portraits of outstanding Russian writers and poets. One of the supplements to the book includes transcripts of meetings of the literary group Zelenaia Lampa founded in February 1927 in Paris by Russian ?migr? writers. Chronology of Terapiano`s life, bibliography of his works, annotated index of periodicals of Russian literature abroad, name index.
