This volume is a part of the Anthology of Standing Up and Transformation. It tells about the confused story of the so called "Shvernik Commission" created by Khrushchev to investigate the assassination of Kirov. The commission consisted of Suslov as chairman, Rudenko, Shvernik, Shelepin and the former convict Ol`ga Shatunovskaia. Shatunovskaia was the main force of the interrogation, while the rest did their best to prevent the truth from coming out. Many of the documents disappeared in the course of the work. This book is a story about this work as told to the author by Shatunovskaia.
