This book continues the series of publications of the group who call themselves Chronotron. This group of historians attacked the idea of united, generally accepted, historical chronology, and what they hold to be common historical misconceptions, and created an alternative history of all parts of the world, including Old Rus. This works shows that the rise of Muscovy happened not through evolution, but by leaps and bounds because, unlike her neighbors, it chose the way of strong state power, or absolute monarchy. The monograph describes the history of Muscovy from various points of views: in its relations with its neighbors, the West and the East in particular; her clerical and secular history. Though the book is addressed to a wide audience, it includes a bibliography (80 titles) and bibliographic references.
