Language: RussianThis book continues the series of academic descriptions of Old Believers` manuscripts in the library of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The first issue was published in 1984. The current second issue includes descriptions of 181 manuscripts of the first half of the 18th century. This time was the peak period in Old Believers writing in various centers of this religious movement: Vyg, Kerzhenets, Vetka, Prichud`e, St. Petersburg, and Moscow. Most of manuscripts are collections in which original works neighbor with copies of Old Russian, pre-Old Believers` or pre-Nikon, and texts translated from Greek and other languages. The works are divided into four chapters: dogmatic, historical and hagiographic, current writings, and others. Indices, autographs of writers, illustrations.
