Minsk: Kharvest, 2003 524 p Serie: Voenno-Istoricheskaia Biblioteka Hardcover. 12.5 x 20 cm ISBN: 9851316229 Language: RussianThis book describes two ambivalent trends in international relations. The first one, started after WW1, was the intention of all countries involved to make peace and solve all conflicts by diplomacy. The second was a significant increase in the number of military conflicts and local wars. Accumulation of unresolved tensions resulted in WWII. Both trends in international relations are shown in this book: diplomatic efforts as well as the main military conflicts at sea. The compiler of the book focused primarily on actions of belligerent countries in the Baltic sea in 1919; the civil war in Spain, and the aggression of Japan against China in 1937-39.
