The poetic life of Semen Nadson (1862-1887) was very short. He became a professional writer at the age of 22, only two years before his death. His first book was very successful and was reprinted five times in only two years. His popularity increased significantly after his death. Nadson`s poetry may represent the thoughts and emotions of the generation of the 1880s better than anything else. Comments.
