Kozhinov, V.V Chernosotentsy" i Revoliutsiia
Zagadochnye Stranitsy Istorii
[ The "Black Hundred" and the Revolution : Mysterious pages of history]
2nd enl. izd
Moscow: n/p, 1998 232 p Hardcover. 14 x 21 cm ISBN: 5852400599 Language: RussianThis book is the first part of Kozhinov`s new large work that suggests a new vision of Russian history in the 20th century. Kozhinov (1930- 2001) presents it as an "attempted impartial investigation". The "Black Hundred" movement (1905-1917) is interpreted as a conservative union of sound national forces opposing destructive liberal and revolutionary tendencies. The Revolution is used in the book as a synonym for the historic cataclysm which shook Russia in the 20th century. The author represents his version of the movement, their political and social role, the history of their persecution and a new view of the 1917 revolution. The last chapter discusses the problems of the Byzantine and Mongolian legacy in Russian history.
