This book is addressed to teachers and students of Russian literature. This volume is about the works and life of the Russian poet and editor Aleksandr Tvardovskii (1910-1971). His poem "Vasilii Terkin" made him popular with all Russian people. He was also the editor of the magazine "Novyi Mir" which published A. Solzhenitsyn for the first time, and was on of the most readable magazines in modern Russian history.
