The land of Pskov was a dependable part of the Novgorod medieval Russian republic of the 11-14 centuries. These two cities had several political conflicts between them so that in the second part of the 14th century princes of Pskov began to fight for their independence from Novgorod. This book, based on old chronicles and other sources, tells the history of their political relations against a background of a rising Moscow as the center of Russian political power.
