Jewish book publishing that started soon after the printing press was invented became part of European culture. The book describes both Jewish and Christian Hebraic publications, the latter beginning to flourish after the Reformation. The book contains 124 Jewish paleotypes, 74 written completely in Hebrew, and the rest in Latin, Hebrew, and Aramaic. It specifies paleotypes published in different European countries separately and in chronological order. All Hebrew titles are translated into Russian. Name, title, place of publication indices. Table of contents in English.
