Fedorov, V.I Aleksandr Blagoslavennyi - Sviatoi Starets Fedor Tomskii"
Istoricheskoe Issledovanie
[ "Blessed Alexandr - St. Fedor Tomskii" : Historical study]
Tomsk: Sibirskii Izdatel`skii Dom, 2001 328 p Hardcover. 13 x 20 cm ISBN: 5938920035 Language: RussianThe circumstances of the sudden death of Aleksandr the First (1777-1825) in Taganrog raised considerable speculation and legends about his further life. Some have tried to prove that the Russian monarch became a monk, and adopted another name. One version is that the emperor took name Fedor Kuz`mich, led an ascetic life, enjoyed the respect of the people, died in 1864, and was buried in a monastery in the environs of Tomsk. According to V. Fedorov (b. 1951), the Tomsk mathematician, there is a lot of evidence in favor of this version. This book is one of the studies meant to confirm this version. It is based on graphological analysis of letters by Alexander the First and the elder Fedor Kuz`mich which revealed rather significant similarity in their handwritings.
