Peshcherskii, V.L Krasnaia Kapella"
Sovetskaia Razvedka Protiv Abvera i Gestapo
[ The Red chamber : Soviet secret service against Abwehr and Gestapo]
Moscow: Tsentrpoligraf, 2000 429 p. [24 ill.] Hardcover. 12.5 x 20 cm ISBN: 5227007284 Language: RussianThe secret network created by the soviet intelligence service in Europe during WWII was called by the Gestapo Rote Kapelle (Krasnaia Kapella). Some researchers think that the Rote Kapelle first had an anti-Nazi orientation and later began to help the Red Army. Two members of this group, Trepper and Gurevich, were arrested by the Gestapo, and after the war Trepper spent 10 years and Gurevich 15 years in soviet camps. Vladimir Meshcherskii, a former Russian intelligence officer, wrote a serious book about this most effective Russian spy network, which made a valuable contribution to the defeat of Hitler`s Germany, and about the history of the survivors of this organization after the war.
