This "Zhitie" is written by the known Russian religious writer of late 14th-early 15th, monk Epiphanii the Sage, who spent many years in Troitse-Sergii monastery led by Father Superior Sergii named Radonezhskii (about 1321-1391). The book is illustrated by two famous icon painters from the city of Palekh Tat`iana and Vasilii Makashovs. 28 color illustrations. Outstanding book design.
