Porius-Vizapurskii, adventurer, philanderer, gourmand, and free-liver. Born in India, baptized in France, Prince de Vizapour connected the rest of his life with Russia and left us his book about the late 18th-early 19th century, reigns of Pavel I and Aleksandr I. The sketches themselves take about one third of the book (pp. 55-119). The other two thirds are devoted to a detailed introduction and comments about cultural and historical realities mentioned by the author. Bibliographic references
