This is the second, updated and enlarged edition of the memoirs of Russian ?migr? Iurii Lodyzhenskii (1888-1977). He served as a military surgeon, then headed a hospital in Kiev during WWI. In the years of the Civil War and Red Terror he rescued hostages from the ChKA prison, and served in the Red Cross organization in Geneva. In 1924 he was one of the organizers of the international covenant on the fight against the Communist International. This book opens unknown pages in the anti-bolshevik resistance abroad.
