The main area of his activities was the criminal situation in Russia and former USSR republics, criminal policy of Russian government, human rights violations, prisons, legal institutions, the fate of new legal and prison reforms in Russia in 1991-1995. Abramkin was the director of the Center for Facilitating Criminal Justice Reform in Russia. This is a collection of memoirs about him and his work. It also includes his own article and the minutes of the meeting devoted to his memory at the Sakharov Center in January 25th, 2014. (0.175 kg.).
