B.V. Sokolov described methods of counting the losses of the Soviet Union and Germany in World War II and the most likely results in his book Poteri Sovetskogo Soiuza i Germanii vo Vtoroi Mirovoi Voine: Metody Podschetov i Naibolee Veroiatnye Rezul`taty (2011). According to his estimate, the Russian losses were ten times more than the German losses. V.V. Litvinenko disagrees with Sokolov on his methods of calculation. (0.115 kg.).
