This book summarizes the results of many years of research conducted in the area to the east of the Aral lake. The author studied dozens of fortresses and thousands of burial memorials. The monuments were erected here in the times of the distinctive Jetyasar culture characterized by its extraordinary conservatism and devotion to archaic traditions. Jetyasars, who lived at crossroads of many trade routes, played a significant role in the history of many modern nations of Eurasia.
