This book is about two very unusual divisions of the Russian Civil war: volunteer Russian orthodox divisions of Sacred Cross and the Muslim divisions of the Green Flag of Allah. These religious divisions, formed in Siberia and the Urals, joined the White Army led by Kolchak in 1919 and served as his last reserve. The army needed warriors who would fight heroically and serve as an example to others. This book is about the history and fate of these divisions, and their the personnel. N.
