This is a correspondence of the officer of the Holy Synod Konstantin Karlovich Zedergol`m who later became the celibate priest Climent with the Elder Macarius of the Optina monastery. During the period of this correspondence the Holy Synod was under the holy protection of this monastery. Elder Macarius was the confessor and spiritual mentor of Zedergol`m. Appendices. (0.465 kg.)
