This book includes the correspondence of the outstanding entomologist Andrei Semenov-Tian-Shanskii (1866-1942), the son of P.P. Semenov-Tian-Shanskii (1827-1914) and his family with their friends, sisters Alexandra and Varvara Shneider. The correspondence started in 1880s and ended in 1940s. It is a unique historical document, which describes the events of the first half of the 20th century. The book is supplemented with photographs, documents, name index and detailed commentaries.
