Language: RussianThere are only two buildings faced with marble in St. Petersburg: the famous St. Isaac`s Cathedral and the Marble Palace. The latter was one of the first neoclassical palaces built in the Russian capital under Catherine the Great designed by the Italian architect and artist Antonio Rinaldi (about 1709-1794). In addition to Rinaldi about forty other people were included in designing this building. The book is about the architects and other construction specialists involved in the creation of this palace.
