Internal colonization is an application of practice of colonial management inside a country. This is a special type of political relation between the state and an individuum where the latter is treated as a conquered one, and where the government treats parts of its own territory as an area that needs to be settled and cultivated from outside. This collection includes works by Aleksandr Etkind on the subject. The author also shows how this imperial colonization period is reflected in works by Russian and foreign authors: Defoe, Leo Tolstoi, Gogol, Conrad, Kant and M. Bakhtin. (0.555 kg.). Also available on the subject: Tam, Vnutri: Praktiki Vnutrennei Kolonizatsii v Kul`turnoi Istorii Rossii (2012).
