Kurbskii protiv Groznogo, ili 450 Let Chernogo Piara
[ Kurbskii against Ivan Terrible, or 450 years of black PR]
Moscow: Algoritm, 2013 256 p Serie: Istoricheskie sensatsii Hardcover. 13 x 20 cm ISBN: 9785443801605 Language: Russian
A. Kurbskii (1528?-1583), Russian general, writer, and statesman, commander under Ivan the Terrible and his governor in Iuriev/Tartu, fled to Poland in 1564. From his self-imposed exile, he wrote several messages to his former sovereign, blaming him for the misfortunes of Russia. A "historical sensation" presents a new interpretation of Kurbskii`s correspondence as the first black public relations campaign against Russia, then Muscovy, its political and social life. Kurbskii and Karamzin, according to the author, were the first "falsifiers" of Russian history. (0.232 kg.) Also available on the subject: Kalugin, V.V.
