Vladimir Isakov, a professor of law and former chairman of the Republic Council of the Supreme Soviet (1990-91), wrote a chronicle of the events that ended the existence of the Soviet Union in 1991 from July to December. The book contains all the main documents of the three former republics and the newly created independent countries, which legalized the dismemberment of the USSR.
