This is the second edition of the book of memoirs of Nikolai Golushko (b. 1937), the chairman of the KGB of the Ukrainian Republic (1987-1991), acting minister of security of Ukraine (1991), acting minister of security of Russian Federation (1993-1994) and the director of the Federal Counterintelligence Service of the Russian Federation (1993-1994). He released the prisoners of GChKP and left the office of the minister of state security to lodge an objection against Yeltsin`s policy.
