The district occupies 30% of the territory of the Russian Federation, its population is about 19 million. It consists of 5 oblasts, 3 krais, 4 autonomous republics, 132 cities, including 10 large ones like Novosibirsk, Omsk, and Krasnoiarsk. This is the first informational and analytical bulletin which traces economic and social trends, financial state and regional ratings of the administrative units-members of this region. It is based on statistical data of the federal service and local statistics. The Bulletin has the following structure: general part, human resources, real sector of economy, investments, foreign trade, quality of life, profitability of the Siberian economy, tax base, state finance (inter-budget relations), budget security, regional ratings, statistics appendices.
