This is a collection of memoirs about the Russian historian, critic, philosopher, and rightist writer, Vadim Kozhinov (1930- 2001). His understanding of Russian history may be disputable, but it is always original and never boring. Kozhinov, a student of M.M. Bakhtin, was trying to continue his tradition in studying Russian literature and history. He never belonged to the mainstream either in the soviet period or later. All his life he has worked in the Institute of the World Literature. Among the contributors to this book are people of different views and political orientations, of various professions and scientific interests. (0.585 kg.).
