This volume of the Anthology of Standing Up and Transformation anthology of witnesses and documentary fiction, includes two works by S. Aleksievich: U Voiny ne Zhenskoe Litso" and "Poslednie Svideteli". They both are about the Great Patriotic War nobody knows. The war that was conducted by Russian women as soldiers, officers, partisans, etc. Svetlana Aleksievich collected memoirs about that war of the surviving women and children.
