This is a collection of two works of the veteran of the Russian-Japanese War and WWI Petr Nikolaevich Vrangel (1878-1928) known for many years in Russia as the "black baron" and "the last enemy of the Soviet Republic". On the other hand he was honored as " the last knight of the Russian Empire" by his comrades. He was the commander-in-chief of the Write Army in the final stage of the Civil War. The first work is Essays on the Russian-Japanese War. 1904. The second - Notes: November 1916 - November 1920. Appendices include Vrangel`s service record, list of members of his government in the south of Russia, Vrangel`s orders, and his correspondence about publishing his "Essays".
