This is a collection of criticism and philological studies on Nikolai Leskov. The significant part of the book is an annotated catalog of Leskov`s personal archives at the State Literary Museum (Moscow) and the Orlov Literary Museum (pp. 137-365)- Appendices include a list of works by Irma Viduetskaia (d. 2009), an editor of the Complete Collection of N. Leskov`s Works and of the volume in the series Literaturnoe nasledstvo (V. 101) on Leskov, and other Russian classics.
