This is a collection of memoirs and other personal documents of the pianist David Solomonovich Schor (1867-1942), founder and a leader of the Moscow trio and the Beethoven Studio (1911-1917). His success as a musician opened the doors of the Moscow intelligentsia and nobility to him. Schor was a frequent visitor in Leo Tolstoi`s home. The book includes his memories of the pre-revolutionary period about his colleagues, musicians and writers. In 1927 Schor with his family left Russia for Palestine. The book is illustrated with materials from the Schor family archive. Name index and comments.
