This is a reprint of a work by professor of jurisprudence Vasilii Nikolaevich Leshkov (1810-1881) published in 1858. He belonged to the circle of scholars of the Slavophile orientation. The book defines so called Social Law which later was divided into several separate fields: Administrative Law, Labor Law, Social Protection Law, etc. The most interesting part of this work is interpretations of various social rights for these communities (obshchinas).
