Leia Trakhtman-Palkhan (1913-1995) was brought to British administered Palestine at the age of nine, and at the age of eighteen was expelled by British authorities to the USSR for communist activity. Forty years later Trakhtman-Palkhan with her husband and son returned to the state of Israel. Her memoir is very interesting because the author has a phenomenal memory for events, names and details.
