This book by Ivan Serebrennikov (1882-1953), geographer and historian, consists of two of his books: The Great Withdrawal: Dispersion of the White Russian Armies: 1919-1932; and My Memoirs. Both books describe the Civil War in the Siberian Far East, battles of the White Army with the Red Army and guerilla units, retreating beyond Lake Baikal, and then about the uneasy life of Russian emigration in China. Also included as a supplement: With the Czechs from Irkutsk to Harbin. Both books and the supplement were published in China (1936-1940). Bibliography. Other books from the series Military History Library, started in 1998, are also available.
