This book is by the Russian physicist Igor Sutiagin (b. 1965), a major contributor to the book “Strategic nuclear weapons of Russia” (1998). He was sentenced in 1999 for allegedly revealing state secrets in this and other open publications. He is one of the first political prisoners of the new Russia confirmed by Amnesty International. This book, written in jails and labor camps, is his version of what happened to him, his letters to his friends and family, and a collection of stories about his ten years behind bars. (0.305 kg.)
