Many critics call his theatrical practice the Second Theatrical Revolution. His Theater-Laboratory, later the Institute of Acting Method Studies, performed in many countries with great success. This book was compiled by his pupil Eugenio Barba and was first published in 1968. It consists of texts which cover various sides of Grotovski`s system and his laboratory, including his manifesto, actor training, and description of the main principles of his system.
