Contrary to the official history, the author states that population of the USSR had an alternative to the Stalin`s regime, so called Lokot` Republic. This entity emerged in the German occupied territory in Central Russia in 1942, it had its own Russian administration and an efficient army which fought against Russian guerillas. Unlike many other historians, the author considers Lokot republicans as patriots, not traitors and German accomplices. This book tells the history of the Lokot Republic and its end. Bibliography.
