Scholars from the Peking Russian Ecclesiastic Mission made a great contribution to the study of the ancient history of the Far East of Russia, primarily Manchuria, Korea, and Mongolia, the Maritime and Cis-Amur Regions. The History of the Golden Empire is the result of inspired work by the outstanding Russian Orientalist and missionary Georgii Rozov. It is a translation of the Manchurian version of Jin Shi, a manuscript of the epoch of the Middle Ages. Also included are The History of the Golden Empire in its original language, a short essay by the editor on the history of the Chouzhen State, Anchun Garun, before the foundation of the Golden Empire, a biographical essay about G.M.
