This is a reprint of the collection of works by Nikolai Gogol` published in 1835. It includes his articles on the arts, history, Ukrainian folklore, geography, chapters from his novel about Malorossia, and stories about St. Petersburg. The fate of this book was rather sad. Gogol` took only a few works from it for his 1842 collected works, and never mentioned this book. This is the first academic publication of Arabeski with an afterword (pp. 270-360), extensive comments (pp. 361-501), and illustrations. (0.815 kg.)
