A.S. Griboedov (1795-1829) is known in the history of Russian literature primarily as the author of the satirical poem "Distress from cleverness" (Gore ot Uma). This book commemorates the 200th anniversary of the writer, the opening of the Griboedov museum at Khmelita, and continues the series of studies "Griboedov: Materials and Studies" by the Pushkinskii Dom. Contains articles about the writer`s life and works. Previous volumes were published in 1977,1989, and 1994.
