The book studies the USA intelligence project to introduce the myth of the existence of some secret protocols, allegedly signed by Molotov and Ribbentrop on August 23, 1939, into the mass consciousness. The topic is studied in the context of the European history of the eve of WWII. The author analyzes the minutes of the Nuremberg trial as a primary source on the issue, offers his textological and archeographic analysis of the original version of the Molotov -Ribbentrop pact vs other versions, and the so called "original" document allegedly found in the Presidential archive by A. Iakovlev and others. The current book is an interesting example of the disinformation war.
