The dictionary, the first dictionary of regional lexics, compiled in 1885 by Aleksandr Podvysotskii (1825-1883) was awarded with the Lomonosov prize. The book includes about 9,000 words and expressions used by the population of Arkhangelsk Gubernia. This reprint in modern spelling is supplemented with an essay on the author’s life.
