This is the fourth volume of the correspondence of the great pianist Mariia Iudina (1899-1970): 1959-1961. The official campaign to resist "formalism in the arts" cost Iudina her professor’s office at the Moscow Conservatory. 540 letters. Most of these letters are published for the first time.
