Language: RussianMikhaila Evdokimov, a popular Russian actor, made his way into politics, and was elected governor of a large Siberial region, the Altai Krai, without visible Kremlin support. Some people see this as a triumph of democracy, others as a proof that democracy is no good for Russia. He and his family died in a car accident in 2005 under suspicious circumstances. The Evdokimov case was one of the trumps in the Kremlin`s decision to eliminate the election of governors for sake of their nominating by the president. This book is a biography of Evdokimov, and a collection of stories about his death.
