In his new book the Russian researcher Oleg Aronson considers cinema as a technology, which has modified human perception and way of thinking. Pointing out the difference between the image and its representation, the author draws attention to the communicative nature of the image, which stands beyond representation. It means that communication itself is understood not in social and linguistic aspects, but as an area of community where another subject of perception and other values are formed. The accent is placed on the fact of a non-obvious influence produced by cinema on the modern literature and philosophy.
